FAQ's
Q: What are Feasibility Studies and how can they benefit me?
Whether you’re looking to add a new component, expand your facility, or open up a new practice or ASC, it is best to have a feasibility study performed first to avoid losing money, narrow the scope if goals are too broad, and/or open up new areas for expansion based on the results of the study.
Q: What type of positions do you have for employment?
Most of our positions offer a choice of being an employee, independent contractor, or partner. Options include private practice settings, group settings, or facility settings which could include ASCs or hospitals. We can find or create the position for you within our extensive network.
Q: What's the compensation package like and how does it compare to mine?
It depends on how motivated you are, how involved you want to be, and what status you choose. We are very aggressive in how we compensate and the majority of our physicians make more as an employee than someone who owns their own clinic.
Q: What can you do to help me start my own clinic?
We can be involved as much as you'd like us to be - from doing some research and feasibility studies to opening the doors to your clinic- we can walk you through every step. We have a proven system in place that can help ensure your success, make you more profitable, and have it happen much sooner than if you did it all on your own.
Q: Why should I consider a consultant for my practice?
Because we work with pain practices all over the country, we can give you up-to-date data of what is working and not working for other practices. Technology, regulations, and systems are always changing. Often a simple adjustment, like renegotiating your medical supply rates can mean the difference of tens of thousands of dollars to your bottom line.
Q: How long does it normally take to permanently recruit a physician?
2 weeks to 12 months, depending on the location and specification of the need. C E Medical Group will strategize with you to offer a recruiting competitive package specific to your area. Contact us today to learn how many candidates we have interested in your state/region.
Q: How long would it take to sell my practice?
Many factors play into the time table of a sale. These may include the seller's flexibility, practice description, practice history and location. Practices have closed in as little two weeks and as long as several years. Average time frame for a motivated seller is six months.
Q: How do I know if I could qualify for a business loan?
Most potential buyers, even new graduates, qualify for a loan sufficient enough to purchase a practice. C E Medical Group is partnered with dozens of lenders specializing in business acquisitions for medical providers. We can also help you explore all your options outside of loans.
Q: How do I know what my practice is worth?
Practices are valued based on the combination of revenue, NOI, equipment, location, patient base, services offered, local competition, and real estate value (if any). C E Medical Group offers a FREE valuation estimate of your practice- often an approximate estimate can be performed over the phone. Comprehensive evaluations are also available.
Q: What type of contract would I have to sign?
C E Medical Group offers both an exclusive and contingent contract. There is no financial obligation attached to the contract unless we sell your practice.
Q: Are there any up front financial obligations to put my practice on the market?
No.
Q: If I am looking to buy a practice, do I have to sign anything with C E Medical Group?
We charge nothing to our potential buyers, but prior to C E Medical Group providing confidential details of a practice, you would be required to sign a non disclosure/confidentiality agreement.
Q: What fees does C E Medical Group charge to sell a practice?
A percentage of the sale price. It depends on the size and scope of the practice. Contact us for a quote.
Q: What are C E Medical Groups "practice establishment, improvement, analysis, & management" consulting fees?
This varies depending on the need of the client. CEMG offers a free consultation and quote prior to any service.
Q: How do I know when my practice is ready to expand?
Let CEMG's consultants help answer that question. Some simple expansions have helped a practice grow from $400,000 to $2 million plus net income.
Q: What is a transition consultant?
CEMG consultants specialize in the transition process between one physician and his or her practice to the other. This process does not end with the introduction of the buyer to the seller. CEMG is committed to continually assisting our clients to establish continuous growth and success.
Q: Why should a practice use C E Medical Billing as your 3rd party billing service?
Understanding the correct codes and modifiers is essential to maximizing your profit. Our experienced billing staff specializes in only billing pain and anesthesia services. With our accurate software and staff, you can be assured that more billing for your hard work will be collected.
